Texas Rangers

The 14th Berg/Seeger Track & Field Classic will be hosted by Texas School for the Deaf in Austin on Saturday, April 13, 2024. This is the sixth time that Texas has hosted. The track & field competition will take place at Rudolph Gamblin Field. Track surface has a brand new 6-lane 400m blue rubber synthetic surfaces, two jumping sand pits, one each of shot put and discus throwing area.

This classic is open to all Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing HS athletes, including schools for the Deaf and mainstream schools in the United States. HS athletes mean 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Participation is not allowed for 6th, 7th, 8th graders, and fifth year senior.

The purpose for this classic is to promote interest in track and field among Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing high school athletes.

This meet has been sanctioned by the NFHS.

Track Shoes:
Flats or track shoes with spikes no longer than 1/4 inch are allowed. Use pyramids or needle spikes. Spike length will be strictly enforced. Athletes not complying with this specification will not be allowed to compete.
