Tom Bachtel
Tom ran the Boston Marathon last April 16, 2007 and finished with the times of 2:57:14. He placed 15th for his age group 50-59. His dream finally searched to run Boston Marathon. He would like to go back next year.

Patrick Southern
Patrick, a recent 2005 Deaflympian pole vaulter, vaulted 16′ 2/3″ at the Emporia State Relays in Kansas on April 9, 2005. This height has established deaf world record which is currenly pending. Click this link to review his recent performance.

Marvice (Pack) Robinson
Marvice, a track Deaflympian from 1989 and 1993, completed her Masters Degree in Deaf Education from McDaniel College, May 23, 2004.
Currently teaching P.E. and coaching Varsity Volleyball at Alabama School for the Deaf.

Wendell and Jennifer Gaskin
Jennifer Body Gaskin a 4 time Deaflympian and a World Record holder in the 100 Hurdles weds Wendell Gaskin a 3 time Deaflympian and a World Record holder in the 100, 200, 400.
They got married on March 20, 2004 in Jackson, Mississippi and went to Jamaica for their honeymoon.

Ken Myers Grabs 8th Place at NCAA and Earned All American Honors
March 13, 2004 - Ken participated in NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship at UW-Whitewater, Wisconsin.
He competed against 11 other Triple Jumpers. He made in the finals with his best jump of the day, 46′ 8.75″.
He placed 11th in both Indoor and Outdoor Championships last year. He, now a sophomore, hopes to quailify for Outdoor this spring.
The meet was very challenging. Everybody had difficulties. They did what they could on that day and Ken was one of top 8 finishers that day! Gallaudet University is very proud of his accomplishment.

Thomas and Heather Withrow
On August 10, 2003, Heather (Gold medalist in hammer throw,’01) and Thomas (6 times Deaflympian in hammer) got married in Seattle, Washington. They went to beautiful Cabo San Lucas for their honeymoon. They are now residing in their home in Maryland.
