A special thanks goes out to the Tom Joyner Morning show for their support on granting a Christmas wish for Chetara Watkins and their support for the USA Deaf Track Team. Click here to hear the thank you MP3 to Tom Joyner.

For the Deaf, the script from the Tom Joyner Morning Show has been provided below:

"Hey Tom,

This is Tammy Storm and I just wanted to Thank you again for granting my Christmas Wish for Chetara back in July of this year. Since receiving the Christmas Wish Chetara was able to go to Valencia, Venezuela to compete in the 2007 Pan American Deaf Games. She was the only 17 year old high school student in her competitions. Chetara now wants to compete in the very FIRST 2008 World Deaf Track & Field Championships in Caracas, Venezuela & The 2009 21st Summer Deaflympics in Taipei, Taiwan!

I am working with the USA Deaf Track & Field Organization to help them raise money so that Chetara and 30 or more other Deaf athletes can compete in these games. We have created a website which is usadtf.org/donations.html so people can make donations online. The USA Deaflympians don't receive the same support and sponsorships that the USA Olympians do so we need all the help we can get.

Thank you!"
